Zhejiang Quyi Acrobatics Troupe Co., Ltd. is affiliated with Zhejiang Performing Arts Group Co., Ltd. Located in Hangzhou, the renowned "paradise" and world-famous scenic tourist city, its predecessor was the Zhejiang Quyi Troupe (Team), established in 1959, specializing in Suzhou Pingtan performances. It was one of the main groups in the Pingtan field. In February 1997, it was expanded into the Zhejiang Quyi Acrobatics Troupe with the approval of the Provincial Compilation Committee and the Provincial Department of Culture. It includes the Zhejiang Quyi Troupe, Zhejiang Acrobatics Troupe, Zhejiang Pingtan Troupe, and Zhejiang Star Performance Company, making the Quyi Acrobatics Troupe a comprehensive provincial professional performing arts group with three art categories and one performance and operation entity, with a total of 160 performing artists. Among them, the Zhejiang Acrobatics Troupe is the most influential and award-winning troupe in China, with 100 performing artists. The Quyi Troupe and Pingtan Troupe are also well-known troupes in Zhejiang Province. In 2005, the General Troupe was awarded the title of "Advanced Collective of the National Cultural System" by the State Personnel Ministry and the Ministry of Culture. In May 2010, it became one of the first restructured troupes of Zhejiang Provincial State-owned Art Troupes and was renamed a state-owned cultural and artistic enterprise - Zhejiang Quyi Acrobatics Troupe Co., Ltd. In 2011, it was recognized by the State Council and the Ministry of Culture as a national intangible cultural heritage protection unit for "Suzhou Pingtan (Suzhou Ballad)".
